My son tells me his movie won't play. Gee, I just watched it with him yesterday, Couldn't be anything wrong with it... While my anxious son fell asleep waiting... long story short... I put labels on the dvds this morning, and now hmmm none will play.. guess what.... peeled one off after reading a post somewhere about bubbles under labels...no bubbles but... now it works... walla... peel more, more begin to work...any ideas? laser reflection? dvd standalone motor getting weak?...Ge 1106 model about 4 years old plays dvd-r real good..without labels.

The theory is that the labels throw the disc out of balance and cause read errors :)
