LAME help

    nothing encoded with lame (in any bitrate) works. i am running winxp. downloaded the file lame-3.96.zip, unzipped it. In the ACM folder, i right clicked LameACM.inf and clicked install. it installed, and all programs that I use "see" itm but when i record something with it, theres no sound
