I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas as to which produces better sound QUALITY out of these two (not bothered about speed/file size)...

    It's between a Lame encode (-V 2 --vbr-new), iTunes AAC 128kbps, or iTunes AAC 192kpbs

Can anybody recommend any different encodes that will produce even better quality than these?

    Thanks,
    Blighter

The MP3 Lame VBR setting produces better sounding files than iTunes AAC files.
