I have an ethernet card to a LAN. For 1 week the connections fails after just a few minutes. Rarely it will renew itself. Usually I have to turn the computer off, wait awhile, turn it back on. At times the connection lasts up to 10 minutes, sometimes only a few seconds. Disable/Enable and Repair do not help. It does not seem to be hardware for it works initially. I had the Downloader-ASN trojan and used a removal tool for Vitamundo that I got from a McAFee site. I am wondering if this tool might have screwed up my registry. If so, should I try Registry Mechanic to repair the registry. I have a backup made before the trojan was removed but am reluctant to use it for that reason. Any suggestions? Thanks.
