    Hello,
I am an amateur DVD ripper and every time I try to rip a movie to my computer it rips in Spanish or French! I have a Mac Pro with Windows Vista installed. On the Mac side I have tried the DVD ripping utility Mac the Ripper, and on the Windows side (through Boot camp on a separate hard drive) DVD Decryptor. I am basically looking for a way to backup my movies onto my computer and be able to playback them in the .vob format (because this yields the highest quality!) On a side note I am currently using VLC to playback my movies but am wondering if there is a better program which offers higher quality? What about audio quality? Do movies rip to hard drive with there high quality soundtracks intact? Is there a way to decode the high quality audio streams such as 5.1 and play it back?

    Thanks

Whenever I try to use DVD Fab I get a "File (x) is read only!" error!
