Laptop cannot boot at all.

I was opening firefox and it gave me a blue screen. When I restarted it by holding the power button, all it does is the power button would turn on without anything else blinking. There is nothing at all. I tried putting a bootable windows vista basic disc, it doesn't do anything. please help

 

Please post the make and model of your laptop how old it is and what OS was originally installed.

 

firefox is a ram beast.. probably just the memory failed completely.

 

I was on my way out when I first posted my new question is so you cannot boot into your pc at all? give me more info please
