i've had a dell latitude d610 for about 2 years now and i never have any problems out of it, as i take really good care of it, however for a while now my charger to my laptop stops working and at first it only happened every once in a while, like 1 out of 15 times i plugged it up, but now it rarely ever recognizes it and gives me an error message telling me something about how it is not recognized and that it wants me to connect a dell 65W AC adapter, this is the charger that came with the laptop so its not 3rd party. does anyone know something i can do or do i just have to buy another?

    thanks

the dell laptops are known for going bad either on the tip of the charge or on the receiver which is soldered to your motherboard inside. it can be a pain in the ass and costly but that's like what the problem is one of those two things. id maybe take a closer look at the receiver first.
