laptop CPU

    is it possible to put a new cpu in a laptop??

    depends on the laptop on the age & whether the cpu is in a socket or not.

    i have toshiba satellite 3000 how can tell if i can put new cpu in it?

    than is probably dead end as can't put a p4 cpu into a p3 as totally different size cpu's

    it is an intel cpu in there now & amd is not pin compatible to the intel socket. it is like putting a diesel engine into a car set up for a gasoline engine.

    were you bought the laptop from, local computer store, office supply stores might have it or on line. remember it has to be a laptop drive not a desktop drive. another option is to get an external usb hd whether laptop or desktop size.
