Well its not my laptop but my bro-in-laws, he is having difficulty playing any games at all, i personally think it is a heat problem what do u guys think, either that or his fan may not be working but cant c that any one got ne hints like a programme that monitors heat or/and fan speed? Cheers Will
@ ddp , you always manage to spoil my fun by asking all the right questions (which i have forgotten) in a very timely fashion.......lol
os = XP HE SP2 Specs: 1gb ram, 60 gb HDD, 128 mb Shared Graphics card i beleive. It is on any game but the one he is trying to play at the mo is csi the first one, which needs 128 mb ram but recommends 256mb and hdd og 517mb which he has got any1 think theyu no what it is. Regards Will
doesnt that game require a pretty good graphics card , better than the one you are running as its very resource hungry
what is his videocard & what does csi want? also how hot does laptop get when playing or attempting to play games from normal temp? dose games start at all or what?
Update, the TEMP1 59oC which is pretty damn hot when idea, any ideas what temp 1 is, its not just CSI its champ manager 5, but its definatly overheating i reacon.
possibly cpu. do you have or have access to either can air or air compressor to give laptop a blow job??!!
Not at the moment, right his laptop specs arnt the ones i posted they were the ones he thought he had, laptop specs are as follows: 512mb Ram, 64mb Shared Graphics card, XP-M 2500+. I think your right DDP about the CPU, but would cause this. Regards Will
you are right ddp but unless your lappie is equivalent to that of a higher end p4 i wouldnt even attempt to play games on it.
i use to have this problem i have toshiba s206-s85 it's a p4 2.8 everytime i play counter strike or converting putting heavy loads on the computer it shut down but i found another way around it i noticed that there's bunch of dust around the fan so one time i tried to blow out the dust(trust it takes a couple tries) and after that i never had the overheating problem again.
also mines have two fans try to blow on the vent or part where the hot airs goes out of ur laptop or if u have warranty on ur computer, i know toshiba have these local warranty centers where u drop off ur computer they will fix whatever the problems and call u up when it's fix. but defintely try the first method also a chill mad will not work i tried it.
