Every now and then, my laptop at work freezes. I try to reboot, which some times works, but most times I have to remove all powersources (per my company's IS Helpdesk). There seems to be no reason as to why this occurs. Is there a way that I can check for myself what may be causing this?
No. I do not know where to find these logs. Where do I go for the error logs? Once there, what steps should I take?
in windows xp you go to start bar-> control panel-> administrative tools-> event viewer then look under applications and look for errors for system errors start-> programs-> accesories-> system tools-> system information-> then go through and look for hardware not working correctly or any other errors that could be in there. there is a lot of information in here
