laptop help

i have a compaq presario 700 laptop i just purchased used in windows the processor is a mobile amd athlon 4 1500+ it runs at 600mhz i thought this processor was a 1.3ghz any help and i am checking it with the laptop plugged in

 

it has to run slower when the its running on the battery otherwise it dies faster. this is CPU throttling

if you go into the bios on the laptop and look at the advanced options you should find something about CPU throttling. set it to disabled and it will run full speed all the time but it wont help your battery life

 

theres nothing in bios i have the laptop plugged in sometimes it says 500mhz and the memory will say 236 then 246 its different sometimes to any help

 

What's it say when you're playing games?

 

it says 1.3 mhz now sometimes so it just jumps up speed when it needs to?

 

i also think that when the processor gets warm and wants to cool down as well as power save options it sometimes only runs at a certain speed.
