Firstly, I want to apologize if i have posted in the wrong area or someone else has had a similar post of which i couldnt find.

Just opened my laptop from hibernation, found that it froze like crazy, nothing was loading and messages begun popping with errors such as "your copy of windows is not genuine" when im know it is and my trend micro keeps shutting down. After some extremely patient waiting for lappy to start up, i found that things were loading but were taking much to long to load (bout 10 mins to load task manager).
My lappy is pretty new (got it at christmas), it is a hp dv6 and the only thing i think that could be affecting the lappy so severly is that i have recently upgraded (not clean install) to windows 7.
I understand that I'm probably going to have to restore my PC to before windows 7 upgrade but that means im going to lose all my yr 11 school work and all my programs. So any tips, and thankyou in advance for any help :)

With the slowness it could be an issue with the hdd. Test that too.
