Recently I have been trying to figure out what is going on with my brother's laptop when we hook a vga cable up to it to transfer the image to his tv. The laptop hooks up fine and the image transfers no probem, but when we transfer the image the top row of alpha keys on the keyboard (u,r, etc.) seem to function only as if the windows key is pressed before hitting them. I recently purchased a 12 month netflix membership for him and this is starting to become very annoying.

I can't figure out why the laptop is doing this when a vga cable is hooked up. The windows key itself functions normally when no cable is attatched and it is not "stuck" down. After hooking up the cable the only way to get out of this mode is to restart the laptop. He has an acer laptop, I am not sure of the model number atm. The only solution I could think of was to try and disable the windows key completely inside of the software to stop this. If anyone has any input on this it would be greatly appreciated.
