Laptop mouse

    I have an Acer Aspire laptop about 1 1/2 years old. The mouse quit. This is about the third laptop I have had that the mouse quit. I always just used a mouse with a usb cable. Kind of defeats the pupose in some ways. Is it a big job to fix this problem, I have worked on a lot of desktops but never went inside a laptop.Thanks for any help.

    if other usb devices work on the laptop okay then laptop is not the problem. most likely a break in the cable just outside of the mouse casing.
