Hi I have a compaq HP nx9110 and I am having trouble powering it on.

Sometme when I put the power supply in the orange light come on as if it is charging the battery but after about 10 minutes I get a clicking sound from the place where the power lead plugs in the machine and the orange light goes off. if I try to turn it on as soon as I put the power lead in It starts to boot for about 5 seconds then mapowers off and makes the same clicking noise. I have tried 2 power supplies but gert the same results.

    Any help much appreciated.

In my opinion it sounds like the power connection in your laptop is bad. As for technical advice I would say take it in and have it looked at.

I was wondeing if it is possible that the Battery is interlocked with the Unit. So that if the battery is dead you can't just run it witn the power lead?
