    hi
i was given a 650Mhz sony viao laptop and this worked fine.
Since then the screen has been cracked beyond repair.
So what i need to know is can this be used with a normal monitor? And can these screens be easily disconnected?
Or is it for the bin?

    many thanks

welcome wolfie, i believe that you can connect a desktop monitor to the back of ur laptop, with the blue end comming from the monitor, and depending on the monitor you may or may not have to do anything to get it active, with mine when i put it on my vaio lap top it works just fine, didnt need to do anything with it, but than i got an old monitor compaq FS740 :-( but hey it works for me. hope this helps

    Thanks for the reply
I will try my monitor over the weekend, but do you know is there any easy way that i can disconnect the flat screen of the laptop so i'm not pouring electricity through a broken screen?

    many thanks
