Hey guys, I have a Dell Insprion 1501 laptop. I plan to upgrade the RAM, but I am also looking into upgrading the sound card. Im pretty positive it has an onboard sound card, so Im wondering I could I go about upgrading it, so I can run Music programs, and MIDI and the whole deal. Im not too familiar with what PCIMA cards are, or where they are located on a laptop, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced.

Hey thanks alot, great info. Does anyone have experience with the usb sound cards vs the expresscard sound cards? For recording music, which one has more quality, or is easier to work with?
