I want to connect a laptop to the HDMI port on a 42" TV
The only ports I have on the laptop are:
    VGA Ports: 1
    S-Video Connectors: 1 - TV Out
    DVI Video: N/A
The TV does have an HDMI port.
What do I need to do to accomplish this connection?
    Thanks,
    Stephen

You will need DVI to HDMI cable.

S-video is an Analogue signal and has to be converted to Digital with expensive equipment.
How does an analogue signal become a digital one just by using a cable?????

The only simple way to connect your laptop to the Tv is if the TV has S-video or a VGA input.
You would need expensive coversion equipment (about £200) to convert s-video to HDMI.
You would be better off buying a laptop with HDMI or DVI out.
