I've managed to get my laptop to display perfectly on newer TV's, using an s-video to rca converter and configuring it through windows display and the intel graphics controller.

If the laptop is immediately plugged into an older TV, the display will come through, however the computer does not recognise that it is connected to a television, and as such will not let me fine tune the display.

Is there any program that allows you to configure what signal will come out of TV out, irrespective of what it's plugged into?

I hope this is adequately clear to be answered, and i believe it's not something that has yet been addressed on these forums.

    thanks
