I am having a problem, well in my parents room there is a tv that will work but dad doesn't want to have to get out of bed to turn the tv on and off so we're screwed at that. Anyways to the question. The tv we have is 10 years old and just has the coeax plug only. Our vcr is just as old and doesn't have the s-cable plug either. (s-cable is what i'm using by the way) But our DVD player and DirectTV box has the place for one. I was wondering if there was anyway by just using the s-cable itself to connect my laptop to the tv through one of the above devices?
if i understand correctly u are wanting to hook up labtop to tv to use as a monitor or to play movies correct if so then no your tv has to have a s video on it
