Well it all depends on the graphics chip basically if it is soldered to the board then it would be difficult to change. But if it is not then there is a chance that you could buy a new chip and do it yourself sending your laptop off could be exnpensive thing to do.Hard drives, writers and memory are straight forward to change on laptops but graphics are far more tricky depending on make and model. Personally if i wanted a graphic upgrade on a laptop i would probably just sell my laptop and replace with a new one as there cheap as chips to buy these days.
ok I just found out how to upgrade the graphics http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/vos1500/en/sm/graphics.htm#wp1179839 but where would I buy a new laptop video card?
Actully, I dont think you can install a graphics card in a laptop. Since laptops use GPUs that are specifically made for a laptop, you cant put an 8800GTX or a 6800GS in one, because they are to big, and they require alot of power. Im not even sure where you would buy a Geforce Go or a Mobile Radeon GPU. I did some searching on google, and couldnt find anything.
