I just got the game Age of Conan for the PC a couple of weeks ago and my video card does not cut it. Here are my specs:

Operating System: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz
    Memory: 2046MB RAM
    ---------------
    Display Devices
    ---------------
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
    Manufacturer: NVIDIA
    Chip type: GeForce 8600M GT
    DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
    Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0407&SUBSYS_01F11028&REV_A1
    Display Memory: 1008 MB
    Dedicated Memory: 241 MB
    Shared Memory: 767 MB
    Current Mode: 1280 x 800 (32 bit) (60Hz)
    Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor
    Driver Name: nvd3dum.dll,nvwgf2um.dll
    Driver Version: 7.15.0011.5669 (English)
    DDI Version: 10
    Driver Attributes: Final Retail
    Driver Date/Size: 10/4/2007 22:24:00, 4943872 bytes
    WHQL Logo'd: n/a
    WHQL Date Stamp: n/a
    Device Identifier: {D7B71E3E-4747-11CF-BD65-FA2101C2CA35}
    Vendor ID: 0x10DE
    Device ID: 0x0407
    SubSys ID: 0x01F11028
    Revision ID: 0x00A1
    Revision ID: 0x00A1

Now, I would like to upgrade the video card to at least an 8800 GT of 512 megabytes. I know that upgrading a video card on a laptop is very hard especially on this one (Dell Inspiron 1520.) Is there any possible way to upgrade this system?

no. 8800M cards are only available on the high end laptops (XPS, alienware, etc.)

only thing to do is get a high end laptop, designed for gaming. adding more ram may help things out. you might be able to upgrade to 4gigs, but check if you can.
