i need help about my laptop i have a sony void and for some reason the power is on and it running but the sreen stay black nothing show up please help.
If you can, check the connection from the hard drive to the mother board, the connector might not be connected properly. Also, go into the screen when it boots up, hit F8 and see if you can get into a boot up option and try the cd. This one is the long shot seeing as though you can't see anything anyways when you turn it on.
It maybe in 'sleep' mode, check your manual to see which keys wake it back up. maybe enter/f1/esc etc................ And yes the external monitor route is always a good thing.................... You taught, now I have learned.............(do I owe you 10 cents for that)
