Laser reads Blue Disc but not White Disc???

My PS2 version9 SCPH50002 reads Blue Disc ok now. But when put White Disc in it does not read. How do I fix this? I've already tried adjusting the pot by lowering the resistance and it still only read blue disc..Thanks.

 

if you put in a white disk does it come up with disk read error

 

It just tries to spin for 30 seconds, then stop because it cannot read the disk. Still at the browser screen. If I press the X button, it would show the white screen with the "Disc read error". I just realize the Blue disc is a CDrom game, I think it's reading all CDRom game, but not DVD games.

 

If you've already tried adjusting the POTS, then there's nothing more you can do. The DVD laser has gone.

 

try cleaning the lens with alcohol but use a cotton bud to clean and make sure you dont get the alcohol on anything else.
when you were readjusting the pot you have to wait until it clicks to the bottom.
