Hi there, I just purchased a V15 SCPH-77001 slimline. I am planning on purchasing a modchip in the near future. A few questions: -www.modchip.ca is based in my city (Winnipeg) and I was wondering if anyone had ever dealt with them before. -I have heard alot of good things about the Matrix Infinity, however this site does not carry it, and I suspect the "ChipMod Pro+" that they recommend as the "best solution" is a Matrix clone. -They sell the Crystal Mod, and it seems to be authentic. I would rather go with this if the chipmod is a matrix clone, as although I have ordered modchips from other retailers in different provinces before, I would rather go local so I can pick up the merchandise directly. Are either of these (if the chipmod is legit at all) compatible with my V15? -Is there a problem with the lasers in the V15 as well? Note that I have a SmartXX in my Xbox and am no stranger to soldering. Thanks alot -richard
Never heard of that chip before but if its a matrix clone the points should be the same as the matrix. Btw installing modchips in PS2 is alot harder than xbox. Ps2 have some kind od thing on it like clear paint that u have to scrape off,alot more pins on it and smaller points bout (1mm) but the slims are eaiser than the big ps2. good luck Also heard some people said there is no problems with laser issues. Especially since SONY fixed them during their V13
