I have the latest nero and have a sony dru-500ax dvd burner. Beforre my dvd burner I had the 52x cdrw. My problem is that my nero copy does not locate my dvd burner. It does not find it. I can only use the image function. All my ot her probrams work fine with the burner (record now..etc..) So what is the problem? I really want to use nero. The funny thing is that with my 52x cdrw nero does not locate it either. Mabe it is inncommpadible with sony drives. I used to have a mitsumi cdrw and always used nero but after I made a switch to sony cdrw and dvdrw it dont work.. If nero came with the mitsumi it is possible that it is looking for only that burner. Some oem versions do this. Uninstall nero completely and reboot then install just the new version from nero web site and see if that works as a demo. If it does then the nero you have updated with the new version is oem that will only work with the drive it came with.
