latest starview codes not working

    Hi can anyone help i've put the latest codes in for c&w 29/2/08 emu is switched on but it's still not working just says updating..

    hope you can help

    go back t the cas menu(1570) and press the set default key exit to a premium channel and that should work for you

    i have same problem with new starview codes, 29/02/08, i pu new codes in and no luck? i have done it many times before, but this time all is wrong?.

    and the fix karljd put does not seems to work?
    goto secret menu, press set defualt key, then exit??

    just wondering mine is a clone box is yours easy2006...not sure if this makes a diffreance to the problem.

    make sure your codes are correct for your area http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363, input codes make sure you press ok after each line ie ok after oo then 01, if they dont update for you make sure the emu is on if that dosn't work (easy2006 )go back to the cas menu press ok on the set default key exit to a premium channel and wait for it to update never said it was a fix.

    Hi yea done all that i've been using the box for over a year with no problems...is there a firmware that will auto update the codes that wont break the clone boxes.

    ok i am quite sure it is not a clone.(i.e. it has 25 x 7 airvents on the top), but i am sure it is a old box. firmware is 2006, 2.57e_E.

    i have checked and rechecked everything,
    live in london.
    emu on.
    keys corect for all n**, c*, t*.
    also done factory settings.
    re scanned.
    set the defult key, and waited? yet i dont get what this does as it just tries to updates and loops back to 0% after a while.

    so you are suggesting i update my firmware?
    can this in any way break my box?
    plus it may sound funny but in my house i have 4 laptops and no pc with rs232 cable? which is what i am guesing i need.?
    another way around possibly, and is this problem common for old boxes like ours?, has others got the same problem

    ok new codes just released, and work fine!!

    C&W 01/03/08 UK
    EX CW -
    00 - 2A 93 B4 01 F2 D8 C4 3D
    01 - 9B F3 1E 15 8B 90 B4 2C

    took awhile to come out though, i gues all is busy, i gues after the 29/02/08 change was done ever1 thought all was fine

    yes update your firmware easy yours is a genuine box so you need to put v400 on it for it to update USB Adapter info

    These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

    All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

    You will need the GTromloader, (Starview Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link.

    You will need version 4.00 firmware for your box

    And please download the Starview PDF guide,(similar instructions, this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything.This can be found in the Starview Documentation folder in the link.

    Something very odd, I have updated codes many times, just tried at 21.30, the only options with NT* are 00 and 06, there is no 01 to input codes to !!
    Should I switch to C and W on the provider set up or what.

    I was having exactly the same problem (see my other thread) - these codes fixed it! :eek:) - BRILLIANT - thanks for your help.

    So - any others who are having this problem - use these codes instead of the ones in the sticky.
