you need the right program to get rid of the copy protection. DVD Decryptor rips the DVD to your hard drive striping the protection off which is free.

AnyDVD runs in the background and strips the copy protection off but it cost 30 bucjs.

Theres a few others out there but them are the 2 I use.

Also you most likly will need Nero Recode or DVD Shrink or DVDFab one of those programs tocompress the disc to copy onto a DVD5 disc.

I sugest use the search at the top and read up on how to back up DVDs there are alot of post out there and guides that will help.

DVD Shrink is free and DVD Decryptor is free but they dont update the programs anymore.

which means when DVDs come out DVD Decryptor wont bebale to rip them due to not being able to crack the new copy protection.

DVD Shrink is also free but isnt updated anymore either.

DVD Shrink would be good with AnyDVD since AnyDVD gets updated frequnetly for new copy protection the DVDs come out with.

Recode2 is a program that is like shrink actully its been told the author of DVD Shrink works for Nero now and is the author for Recode2.

So if you have Nero and your version comes with recode2 you can use that.
