I haven't posted in over a week, and what I just said is true. I have a 46 inch lcd in my basement and it greatly affects fast games such as first person shooters. I don't really care about getting ranking in a forum site, I don't have much to do sometimes so I figure that I would try to help people he because i received help here. If you can state what I said in a better way, please do. You look like an moron for breaking the rules by starting a flame war and cursing. Read the rules...

So I should look at LCDs for gaming. Ok. Does anyone have any suggestions for a Brand name? My budget is $1,200-$1,500. I'm into first-person shooters(HALO). @nelmco what brand do you have so I can avoid the lag issues OR is there lag with all LCDs. Thx i'm lost when it come to HDTV's.

haha, sorry saltynuts =D my mistake. There is all lag with lcds :(. I have a samsung 46 incher and you can cut the lag down by putting it in game mode, this sacrifices the looks very slighty, but it speeds up the picture. It reduces the lag but does not eliminate it completely. This is the tv I have... Samsung LN-S4692D. It is within your price range at some places. Check here and look at buying choices: http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-ln-s4692d/4505-6482_7-31785795.html

    or here

    Once again, sorry saltynuts =p
