Hey i have a couple of questions on the difference between respones time and auto motion 120hz. Whats the difference and which is better? Also Sony has something called 24 true cinema what is this? basically 1) What do i look for response time smaller than 8ms or auto motion 120hz 2) what does 24p true cinema do? 3)Out of the 32 inch tv listed which do you all like better http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/LCD-...012869+4588/link/ref/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do thanks for any help
8ms or better is what I would look for. Actually, something that's 6ms or better. Auto motion 120hz is a feature with high end Samsung LCD's. That's just the refresh rate on the LCD. Response time and refresh rate go hand in hand. Supposedly there has been some issues reported with this feature. People are seeing a lot of motion blur due to some problems with the chip. There are FW updates on the web that will fix the problem. If you get a Samsung that offers 120hz technology, read up on it. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/652541 24fps is as true to the original film process as you can get. Every frame is displayed at 24 frames per second. I think watching movies encoded this way, will eliminate a lot of artifacts and judders. You will also need a player capable of outputting at 24fps. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24p Here's a list of Blu-ray players and their specs. Look for the 24fps option. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/630898
