I was wondering if anyone knows a good legal website that offers high quality movie downloads? I found a few that offer good quality movies but you can only rent them for 24hrs! I don't want to pay $20 for a membership to a download site that offers suposed "DVD Quality Downloads" and then not be able to keep what im paying for. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.
Hmmm how does the 24 hrs thing work does it automatically delete itself? Should be a way to stop that speaking from a technology standpoint not a piracy standpoint. Knowledge is power.
The Website that offers this is cinemanow.com. they also offer hd movie downloads but again its for 24hrs use. It uses some kind of security protection so im guessing you can't copy it or burn it. but that would be pretty sweet if you could somehow work around it and keep them.

No I have not downloaded any movies from there. I just didn't wanna waist my money. im guessing that it would be in a special format not avi or any regular video format. If your willing to pay and try it out id love to here how it all works!
Yeah I can see a special format that required their viewer which could control the master header and a timecode to automatically delete the movie after the 24 hour clock would start usually when the first viewing is started. Then a time check via your clock would be checked prior to using the movie/viewer. I had a chance to check out the disney biological DVD's in Orlando once they would biodegenerate after a few days typically 5 days after being exposed to air never caught on but was interesting.
