I am trying to back up Legend of the Seeker using DVD Shrink and I am having a problem. When I open the DVD in DVD Shrink it is way too big to burn (it is 24 gigs non-compressed, around 11 gigs with max compression). When I look to see what's taking up so much space, it shows there are over 60 different episodes on one disc, when there are only supposed to be 4. I can preview each one, and it seems theres about 20 duplicates of each episode. I tried using just one of the titles for each episode and reauthoring it, and it plays in the DVD player, but the episodes are "out of order", for example, it'll play the first ten minutes, then jump to the last ten minutes, then after the credits the twenty minutes in the middle will play. Really strange. It's not just this DVD with the problem, I've tried several from season 1. It's not just DVD Shrink either, DVD Decrypter says it's 24 gigs too. I've attached a picture.
I doubt DVD Shrink will work it's way through the protection. DVDFab HD Decrypter will probably work. The link talks about that specific DVD and how to figure out which Titles need to be ripped. http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=3657
