One-Click DVD has done a remarkable job backing up 100% of all of my DVDs. The first problem ever encountered has been with a new release called "THE LEGEND OF ZORRO". It appears to copy, file size looks accurate, but the movie begins near the end. I've tried using DVD Decrypter, and limiting it to just the main movie files as if I was going to move them to my PSP, but the identical thing happens.
Could it be the ONE CLICK is not locating the proper files? Is it some of the IFO files?
As I said, all other DVDs work perfectly, except this recent purchase from Sony pictures.
Thanks in advance for any assitance.

Rip the files to your HDD using DVDFab Decrypter, process the resulting VIDEO_TS folder with VobBlanker...then use your favorite encoder and burn engine.

Both programs above are free and can be found here:

Again, thank you. What is your favorite encoder? Your recommendations worked so well that I thought I'd try to stay with all of your advice.

I'm putting a ton of my movies onto my PSP. Do you know anything about putting them into a format that will work on my windows based mobile 5 phone?

    Thank you in advance.
    Your humble student.

WOOPS: Thought all was going well, but ran into a problem. Zorro is more challenging. Using FABDecrypter, an error was reported. "Error copy--did not copy: 4098"

I'll try to use my other decryptor, and then use the VOB Blanker and report back. Anyone having any other suggestions, please let me know.
    Thank you in advance.

Nope, that didn't work. I/O error message. So, Zorro's kicking my ass. Anyother suggestions?

    Thanks to anyone.

Did you rip with DVDFab and then process with VobBlanker? That should have corrected the structure to allow a successful burn. DVD Shrink or Nero Recode would be by suggestions for a transcoder, DVD Shrink if free and Nero is of coarse not.

    DVD Shrink: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/software.htm

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/293994 The Fog guide, works for Zorro.

I really know nothing of the PSP or Mobile 5 phones, but the above should get you headed in the right direction.

Yes and no. I received the error message and therefore stopped the rip.
Should I have continued? then VOBed it?
I was able to process most of it with DVD Encry, using PGCedit. I can't get shrink to work, but will look it over again.

    THanks,
    GJM

DVD Shrink won't work because the structure hasn't been corrected by VobBlanker...did you get the files to run through PgcEdit? I've not used it but I beleive it does the same thing as VobBlanker.

What error did you get with DVDFab Decrypter? Make sure that the disc is free of dirt and scratches before ripping.

error copy 4098 or something similar. DVD Encry seemed to work, except when i went to rip it again, it found another i/o error. I have the files and it appears to work pre-Shrink, but the Shrink is not working. I'll run the VOBer and see if that cleans it up.

I've looked elsewhere and it appears that Sony / ARccOS has new encryption and others have found the same difficulty.

Is FAB-D supposed to clean up the ARccOS file?
Should I expect to get the ERROR 4098 message?

Original DVD Disk is new/clean etc.

I appreciate your patiences with me and I'll report my findings to you.

that's odd, i did this movie today with DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.7.2, it was a breeze, then Shrink just did the biz as normal... haven't burnt it yet so will check it plays ok first but i'm sure it'll be fine..

Cool. Maybe its my disk. It plays fine, but I've "worked" it over pretty good with DVDFab, PcgEdit and the rest. OneClick, which of course, didn't do anything except create a fine coaster suitable for framing.

Many thanks. Perhaps the "kids" have been unknowingly playing with it. I'll run the DVDFab again.

Does the DVDFab eliminate any of the protection?--I know thats what the VoB is for, but didn't understand why DVDDecrypt needed the plugin?

DVD Decrypter is a tad outdated hence needs extra muscle from PSL files sometimes. DVDFab Decrypter (for me) stormed straight thru this movie, then as i say, Shrink just did it's thing. burnt to disc and it checked out perfectly...

Many thanks. I appreciate your help. Glad it's not something new in the world of encryption.
