Recently bought the LG4040B dvd writer. As advertised it reads and writes all formats +R, -R, +RW, -RW, and DVD-RAM just fine. However when I try and read any of these disks on a DVD drive in another computer windows doesn't recognise them. I've tried both + and - formats R and RW formats, even tried a different DVD drive but no joy. Anybody any ideas?? Regards Joe
the problem is some brands can be read and some can't be.. for example when i first tried to burn dvd's using nero i bought several brands and tried them to be read on some dvd-roms only princo worked and it worked only in LG dvd-rom and the rest didn't !!! i hope that i provided some help...
