Which one would you buy? I think these are their latest three drives... Thanks for any input. Don't care about cost just want to be able to make quality dvd backups.

i would go with the Benq 1655, while i'm personally waiting for the NON-LIGHTSCRIBE dw-1650, my Benq 1640 is one of MY top drives...i have various liteons too, but no experience with LG... :)

Just bought my daughter a LiteOn SHW160P65 and she loves it ... but she had an unreadable disc that my BenQ DW1640 tore through like a hot knife thru melted butter ... My HP drive is a rebadged Hitachi/LG4166b ... I'm not impressed ... I've had no experience with the BenQ DW1655 ... don't know what chipset it has ... yet

The BenQ LightScribes if you are so inclined ... and BenQ is the easiest to update the firmware and it has an awesome utility package ... the company is very quick to address any problems brought to their attention with firmware updates ...

BenQ has sold me on their quality ...
