    Hi,

This drive worked fine when i bought it, but
about a month ago it started making trouble.

It burns data fine, but when i try burning
Audio it crashes the software, and I need to reset the computer to get back control.

It even does it when I copy an Audio CD onto a CD-R. It does it when I copy WAV's onto CD as audio, same with MP3's.

I tried both Easy CD Creator and Nero. It all used to work, now its making trouble.

Anyone run into this issue with an LG burner?

    Thanks...

    TOM...

Hmmm... I have 2 of the same model LG's, both installed into Win2K PC's. You might want to check your ASPI layer, to see if it is installed correctly. I do have a problem when I use NERO however, other CD drives have trouble reading the CD-R's after recording.

    Fixed I think...

I had CDRWIN 5 and it installed a Virtual CD/DVD drive. I did not know which software had installed that driver, so in my efforts to remove it i screwed something up.

I reinstalled CDRWIN 5, which also reinstalled the PrecSim SCSI controller. Then i tried burning the audio files that kept hanging the system, and it worked.

Tried it in both CDRWIN and NERO. Worked fine at the speed asked for (16x and 24x burns respectivly)

I will keep an EYE on it and see if it's still a problem. Should try CD to CD copy as well.

Not sure about burn quality with NERO, all the discs ive burned seem to work fine in other players, even in my DVD player (as VCD discs)

    Thanks.
