I just bought a LG BP06LU10 External Blu Ray Drive. I just burned a 23 GB movie in mkv format to a 25gb bd-r blank disk. The movie does not take up the whole disk space. There is about a centimeter left of unburned area near the edge of the disk. I used Nero 11 to burn the blu ray. Can someone please help me determine why the burner didn't burn the movie all the way near the edge of the disk?

Maybe because there wasn't enough data to completely fill up the disc.If the whole movie fit on the disc I would think that was good myself.

I don't think that is the issue. I tried burning another movie that was only 16gb onto another bd-r. Both movies are burned the same amount on the disks.

Well does the whole movie play or is part of it missing?

The whole movie plays. It just seems to be truncated on the disk.
