I got a lg multi dvd rewriter GSA-H22L a few weeks ago and know it dont recognize any dvd-r or dvd+r.sometimes works and some dont.i unistall the drivers and installed back up and the results are the same.does anybody think i have to buy a new drive,if thats the case what is the best drive to go with.
I have that drive for about a year and have had no trouble with it till I ran out of verbatim dvd+rw and got some sony dvd+rw (S11) I tried to burn an old movie to them and got unreadable disks that even locked up my dvd reader on the tv and I thought I was gonna have to take it apart to get the disk out. The disks are unerasable and must be tossed. I FINALLY got a good one by using my old NEC burner that came in the machine. For some reason these disks will NOT work in the LG. Wish I knew what to do with it as its been a decent burner otherwise. I never tried anything but RWs so I cant say what different ones it wont work with. I know its not much use to you but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem.
Have you tried different brand named DVD R's? Also what about updating your firmware http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces?
