Should I upgrade the firmware on this drive, how do I do it and what are the benifits of this. I also cant find any information on it. It says in the device manager DL-10.
cdt79 The firmware is at rev 13 now. It can be found at http://ca.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp Installation is the same as any other download and install. I believe the updates are mainly for burning speed capabilities and media compatabilities. As for whether you need it or not, it's your call.
