    Hi all.

just bought this dvd rewriter LG GSA-H10N recently.
Currently I face some problem using the provided oem nero 6.6.1.4.

Have tried to burn with cdrw & dvdram but failed.

Unchecked "DMA" from the nero, which required a reboot, burn using same cdrw with no problem.

Have went thru hardware profile and ensured that all the setting are "DMA if available" and not "PIO".

    Any ideas ?
    Thanks in advance, PC.

    Hi wyv14
For this new drive to you set the jumper pin to master?
Usually they come set to slave so since it's on the master connector the pin should be set to master.
Dell pc's though prefer the cable select.

Have you tried burning a dvd-/+R?

    Hi Binkie,

    thanks for your kind attention.
    Replacing the IDE cable works!!
The LG supplied cable is faulty, using mb supplied cable and burn without any problem, be it cdrw/dvdram or -/+ R...

Also thanks to Agent009 from cdfreaks.com who advise me on this.
