I have just bought this machine and I'm very happy with it all except for one thing. It says that it supports dvd dual layer discs and my machine keeps spitting them out. Does anyone know if it really does support these discs or is it some type of mistake on behalf of LG? Also one more thing, I heard from a friend that this region free hack works. 1. Power on 2. Open Tray 3. Press Setup 4. Highlight the Lock Picture (Don't Enter Right hand Menu) 5. Press "0" seven times 6. You should get a message on the screen that says "This player is Region Free" or something like that. Has anyone tried this, or can anyone verify that it works, before I try it without knowing that it won't ruin my machine in any way? Any help would be great. For those who are curious I can Verify that this machine plays DivX, XviD, VCD, SVCD, MP3, WMA, CD's, DVD's, CD-R's, JPEG's.
I just thought I would let you all know that the region free hack for the LG LRA-536 DVD recorder that I posted Before works. I got sick of waiting for a conformation and thought screw it, if it messes up my dvd recorder I'll just take it back to future shop and get a new one. So needless to say I tried it and it works. Not sure if it works on all machines but it did on mine and it was purchased in canada if you are wondering. Enjoy and happy region free viewing.
