LG Multi Writer, no 8 speed option

    I recently purchased an LG DVD-RAM writer, and when copying to a normal CD-R the lowest speed that shows in Nero Express is 16 speed.

    Is there anyway to be able to burn at 8 speed with this writer using Nero, I ask as 8 speed isn't in the speed option list, only from 16 speed up to 48.

    If you try writing to an 8X CD-R--an ancient disc in today's terms--the software/drive combination may allow you to write at the lower speed. CD-R discs for the last 8 years have been 48X or 52X, and writing at 8X is a bad idea for the dyes used on them. Stick with 24X or 32X for modern discs.
