I purchased LG dvd recorder model # DR1F9H. When I try and record from the television half the channels I try to record something I get a message saying copyrighted material can not record. This is straight off the television. NOt even movie channels but regular channels. I can't record off any movie channels at all. Anyone know a way around this?
Maybe you need to check, or uncheck, something in the settings, for the recorder or the tv? I have a Gateway recorder hooked up to digital cable, and haven't had a problem recording [bold]any[/bold] channel. I do record movies off the Encore channels, so I know it's possible. It's always worked for me, so I don't know what else to tell you. Sorry.... Good luck!
I called customer service and she told me the cable company submits signals for copyrighted material and their recorder picks it up so it won't record it. She claims no matter what dvd recorder I buy I will have the same problem. So back to the store it goes and I guess I will stick with a vcr. That will record off any channel
