Life after DVD Decrypter

    Now that there will be no more updates. I take it it will still work in its present state.. Will you still be able to burn with it? Will You just need anydvd or somthing like that running behind that?

    It will function just fine,it just wont be able to handle the newer encryptions as they come out.
    AnyDvd is the way to go from there, or you could try dvd43(free) same thing as AnyDvd but not updated as often.
    You could also try DVDFAB decrypter,its supposed to handle the new stuff and is also free.

    Lets see how quick the PSL lists get out on those new movies with those pesky encryptions. I'll bet it's within a week.

    I have used dvd decrypter on all my movies no problems on any movie hitch spanglish etc. When I find a movie I can't rip I will then find a new way....

    I'v switched over to the DVDFab Decrypter when it was released awhile back. I have backed-up a total of 9 movies so far with a total of "0" coasters. I rip with Fab, then Shrink it, then burn with Nero Ultra.

    This has been the best run of burning I have been on without an error (knock on wood).

    I have not had any coasters with shrink / decrypter. I have no reason to switch. I have nero on a disc what benifits from that would I have?

    If you don't have a need for a burner program, other than burning movie dvd's, then I would stick with what works for you.
