I am an xbox newbie so please forgive my ignorance. I was about to order an xbox at amazon but I started to read the reviews. A few wrote that the xbox goes bad in a year. Another wrote their xbox went bad within a year. What is the average life expectany of the xbox? With heavy use. I currently own a ps2 w/fliptop and smd discs and have been playing heavily for the past 2 years. I've even run the system 72+ hours on backed up games and is still running great. On average, I run the ps2 about 40+ hours a week if not more in a single weekend. I expect that the laser will go bad eventually and will buy another to replace it but I would also like to get an xbox. Is the system hard to repair if it dies? Anyone know of any cheaper online places to buy other then amazon or walmart for $149? THANKS! I'm now playing splinter cell pandora tomorrow on ps2. If anyone's played on both consoles, how's the graphics on xbox for the game?
Well the xbox is built much better than the ps2 and the xbox should last longer than the ps2. As for slinter cell i cant really tell that much of a difference, i have it on xbox and my mate has it on his ps2 and i can say that it is pretty much the same. You will however notice the gfx on other games if you compare, xbox has slighty better gfx.
the xbox is a far more powerful and sophisticated gaming console. personally i can tell differences in scd on xbox - ps2, with xbox having smoother graphics, they rock as for the life expectancy, i have had mine now around 2 n half - 3 years and played/used it everyday for long periods, be it for gaming or using XBMC to listen to music or watch movies. the xbox seriously is the way to go and me for one cant wait for the xbox:next EDIT: BTW PPL IAM CURRENTLY AWAY IN ANOTHER PART OF THE COUNTRY AND HENCE I CANNOT UPDATE THE SITE...SORRY _X_X_X_X_X_[small]For XBox apps and news...go to:- http://www.g4merzo1d.co.uk.tt PC Specs: AMD XP2600+ 80GB HDD 512MB RAM ASUS DVD-ROM OPTORITE DD0201 DVD-RW 2x NIC's 600K Cable XBOX Specs: LPC Cheapmod w/ ON/OFF SWITCH SAMSUNG DVD-ROM 120GB WESTERN DIGITAL HDD[/small]
