When I try to make a LS label the timer starts and then the time keeps starting over until it fails and says a communication error has occured to the drive. It was working fine until yesterday then all of a sudden it stopped. I can still burn cd's and dvd's and the drive still reads. I also got an error that says and internal error has occured. I believe it lays with the software, as the drive itself works with everything but the lightscribe. I have unistalled the software and reinstalled it. FYI I am using nero 8 essentials. Also downloaded some lss update but to no avail. Cheers and thanks in advance.
Lightscribe is usualy the first feature to fail, followed by DVD+R, followed by CD-R, followed by DVD read. Here is a piece of software that *might* help, or at least confirm that it is a physical problem: http://lightscribe.com/downloadsection/Windows/index.aspx?id=810
