Does anyone know if they will make DVD for lightscribe machines? I have just recently seen them in the CD's but, not for the blank DVD's. Kerry in Ga
They already make them for dvds.(is lightscribe the process where once you finished backing up your stuff the laser prints a label on it?)bestbuy has it i think
i've also looked for blank lightscribe media and have not been able find any either , blank dvd media anyway . i asked this same question a couple of weeks ago and got no replies .
i know they out there, my wifes friend works at a big tech firm where they got some in and she brought a movie of hers in and backed it up.(unless the media was supplied by the mfg)
i dont see any blank dvd lightscribe media there . all i see is regular cd's . here's the link for all the lightscribe media they have available .http://www.supermediastore.com/lightscribe-light-scribe-dvd-r-cd-r-media.html it's pretty tough to find this media right now and if found it most likely will cost more than dual layer media as its something new .
they say a 10 pack will cost 19.99 for memorex, did a couple of searches on the internet(google) and the couple websites i went too said they should have media in about 7-10 days. also i found this website http://www.lightscribe.com/lookingforlightscribe.aspx hope this helps
I dont think they are made for dvd yet, this link shows what HP has http://www.shopping.hp.com/cgi-bin/...=cd_storage&subcat1=cd_writer_media&aoid=1430 they are 9 dollars for a 5 pack of cd
Look if you are really desperate for this media go here http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=318421&pfp=srch1 This is not a brand of media I recommend to burn with, but it will do what you want, however you may not get a quality backup
this site has the best prices on both lightscribe cd and dvd media. they seems to have more options on the lightscribe drive and media bundle as well. http://www.blank-cd-cdr.com/lightscribecd.html
