Thought i would share my experiences with everyone. Got a new laptop which had a Lighscribe drive in it so i thought i would give it a whirl. Have always been writing on my cd's (did not like the CD labels at all and don't have a CD printable inkjet printer) So i went and bought some lightscribe discs (if i'm allowed to mention brand it was Infiniti). I found the image i got on them was actually really good, surprisingly, was not sure what to expect from a single laser in a cd drive buring an image. The image i did was not a complex one and i used software i got free from www.lightscribe.co.uk (there is no spyware etc on this site, its just a simple site with information on lightscribe) Let me know if any of you have experienes with lightscribe and any hints or tips you can give me to improve images etc
Keep the images out of sunlight. They will fade to near obscurity in six months if left in direct sunlight. Keep the discs in Tyvek or paper sleeves or, better yet, in jewel cases. Some plastic or vinyl sleeves have chemical compounds that react with the photo sensitive Lightscribe coating.
