I until recently have been a kazaa user for file sharing but had found it too b no good in the sharing of mp3's. Whenever i used to get them they never worked... soo i had enough and converted to LimeWire and find it a brilliant program... no pop ups hardly any bad files etc... I just wanted to c what everyone else thought of the application???
what? just what we think of it? i like it. limewire pro atleast. pretty fast, different network than kazaa's. the gnutella one. although i do believe i like bearshare better, since i got limewire pro, its all good. limewire is good basically
limewire is good, but suffers from the same prob most java apps do. they eat up alot of system resources. not a problem for me, but people with lower spec PC's should be aware.

okay guys this is the error that im gettin can any one shed any light on this .... help please thanxs in advance
maybe you could try and reinstall windows media player? have you tried to play AVi's in different media players, i.e Real Player, Quicktime etc.. if so, do they produce any errors aswell?? (if they do, could be a codec related issues) thats all i can think off. hope it helps.
ok thanxs ummm i did reinstall it but i reinstalled over the top... is there a way i can unistall it and then install it fresh??? in regards to codecs what is the newest codec pack out??
i did a little reading up. media cannot be completly removed. it can only be rolled back to a previous version that came with windows (ie ver 9 in most cases) you could try rolling back to media player 9, and then reinstall media player 10. i would try the newer codec first, which is the best im not to sure, but i have got a copy of the "K-Lite Codec Pack Full v2.50" which can be found on afterdawn's servers.(and have had no probs with any avi's)
hahahha great minds think a like i also did a lil reading and i think we read the same thing about rollback and i went even as back as using add remover programs in control pannel even managed to do that but it did not help reinstall or rolling back etc... I'm just gonna try to get the new codec pack from aD and c where that leaves me
ok everyone, Here is what i am up to on this issue... I have tried installing Winamp and playin the file and also installed RealPlayer and they both spat out the same problem as seen in the pic i posted earlier all that changed was the name of the program, but its the same error runtime etc.... What does everyone think do i have to reinstall windows?? (I hope not) p.s i also tried restoring the pc and did not help... anymore ideas would b great
try removing LIMEWIRE, see if that fixes the problem. apart from that, i cannot think (or find) anything else.
see if the media player called "vlc" works. hope u don't need 2 reinstall windows. that would suck. goog luck.
