If your using an ethernet cable, make sure it's firmly secure to your pc and to your router/modem.

Yep, check it out and if it's not the prob we can take it from there but I got the same message the other day and it was one of my kids that stood on the ethernet cable and it just became loose and when it was secured it worked again fine.

I had a similar problem a few months ago. It turned out that my integrated network card was broken. After that my whole motherboard died and I had to replace it along with a new PSU and CPU. In your case though it might only be a bad network card or something even more simple. I suggest you go ahead and read this nice guide about limited or no connectivity.

Hope you can solve your problem :)

How are you using internet on your pc, is it wireless or via ethernet cable ?

Also try this>> click "start", "run" and then type "cmd" without the quotes. Now when the command screen appears type this ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter/return on your keyboard.... now type ipconfig /release and hit enter. Now type ipconfig /renew and hit enter.
    Now type exit.

Sometimes if your using wireless this can sort no connectivity our or via ethernet too.

    Let us know what happens.

After reading all that the only other thing that comes to mindis you can go and see what are the ip address of the lappy's and the subnet mask and dns and write these down and then on the computers that do not work you can put the same ip address except for changing the last digit to something that you know that is not being used and leave the subnet mask and dns the same.

Should work. let us know how you go.

i'd try another netcard to see if is a software issue or hardware.
